How we spent Montana's 1st Birthday 

Maddison's school had the service at the Castle Hill church so we went to church in the morning to see Maddison take part in the service which was really nice.

After the service we dashed off to Rouse Hill regional park where we met up with Tania's family that travelled down from Newcastle.  We had a lovely afternoon together and then we headed off to the cemetery which was just down the road.

We spent some time just being together with Montana then we handed out these beautiful pearl pink balloons that we all let go together.  We watched them till they disappeared in the distance.  It was kind of symbolic of all our dreams disappearing right before our eyes, and our little girl being snatched away from us.

Then as a family I read out the letter to Montana from us and we all laid down some soft pink gerbera's on her grave.  We all had a hug and a cry, and then we all picked up the pieces of our lives and went back to doing life the best we can.
